University receives four new professorships in the field of artificial intelligence
FAU once again demonstrates its excellence in the field of artificial intelligence (AI): In the second round of the AI competition of the High-Tech Agenda Bayern, it will receive four new professorships in this field. This was announced today by Bavaria’s Science Minister Bernd Sibler at a press conference.
A total of 175 applications from universities from all over Bavaria were submitted to the science-led competition – FAU was able to win and is now entitled to establish four new professorships: one in the field of sensor-related computer science and language processing, one in the field of nano and material sciences and two in the field of AI in medicine.
“These four professorships sharpen FAU’s AI profile and allow us to set specific accents in future-oriented fields of research.
